Hi there. Welcome to Hey Chelito! I am a traveler at heart. I feel more at home when away. I was struck with wanderlust at a young age and it has manifested itself with an undying fury since my first European backpacking experience when I was in college. That was many years ago, let's just say that it was pre-Euro, The Wall was still up, and way before the European Union. Traveling the world has been on my mind since then. My career in the hospitality, allowed only a limited version of what I wanted and needed to feel fulfilled. I have since gotten out the rat race and have decided to live my life on own terms. I now live Léon, Nicaragua. I have purchased a old home and am in the process of remodeling it. The plan is to run a hostel so that I may travel vicariously through everyone I meet. This site started on a whim. I came across several hand-written journals of past travels while trying to declutter my life. I have always enjoyed helping people. I have, over the years, tried to help people find what they didn't know they were looking for. As I am not in a position to be able to travel the world endlessly, I hope to be able to help people do so. I have decided to start this site to aid the curious in their personal travel experiences and to help those who have decided to make the jump and move abroad. These are my stories.
